WORK PROJECT 1: fAUX KEEPSAKES
KEY IDEAS: Belonging through mimicry, Artifice, Seduction
Paper casted in bronze gold tissue paper. This item is extremely light and delicate. I am exploring plans to create the inside velvet as hard fabric that has been coated in red flocking.
I’m also experimenting with casting in mud, but only failed experiments thus far. I’m thinking about the land my dwellings have rested on and places where my life has taken place.

Velvet paintings of my “critters”. Designed to appear vintage and present in history. Still working on technique and color on black background.
WORK PROJECT 3: ABJECT ANTIQUE TOYS
KEY IDEAS: Abjection, Feminine Performance, fawning as survival
Updated the editorial on the back and side to open up the story and create inquiry around a perceived “right way”.

WORK PROJECT 4: FABRICATED HEIRLOOMS
KEY IDEAS: Essentialism, loss & Grief, Artifact
Using used makeup cloths, felted hair, finger nails, & deadskin, I am using embroidery to create faux heirlooms with decorative edges to resemble vintage handkerchiefs.
